In season one’s final episode, MultiCam Training Manager Russell Boudria will install the CNC cutting machine. Then he’ll teach the “Legendary Motorcar” team how to cut out custom parts like manifold mounting brackets from stainless steel.

“The V-Series Plasma is replacing many time-consuming manual steps by cutting consistent-quality parts quickly,” Russell said. “One of the parts used to take two hours by hand, using band saws, mills, drill presses and grinders. But the V-Series Plasma cuts it in less than a minute. Add some cleanup time, and LMC saves over one and a half hours on that part.”

Legendary Motorcar Company of Halton Hills, Ontario, Canada, has been restoring and selling muscle, rare classic and performance cars since 1985. For 11 seasons, owner Peter Klutt hosted the “Dream Car Garage” TV series that aired on Speed in the U.S. and CAVE in Canada and internationally. Now he’s back enhancing LMC’s award-winning restorations with a MultiCam V-Series Plasma.

Velocity will advertise the “Legendary Motorcar” TV show for several months before a week-long promotional event this summer. Reruns of already aired episodes will precede the final two new shows. Look for the MultiCam V-Series Plasma in Episode 13.

Next fall, the LMC team will use this versatile machine to custom manufacture parts for the show. Featuring a Hypertherm Powermax plasma cutting torch, the cost-effective, user-friendly V-Series Plasma provides a smooth edge finish, especially in mild steel.

Velocity, Discovery’s car channel, launched “Legendary Motorcar” in November 2012. It airs Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. EST. For more information on the TV show and to watch past episodes online, visit the LMC website.
